Thai Crispy Fried Pork with Garlic (Moo Tod Gratiem)

Moo Tod Gratiem can be found as Crispy Fried Pork in the street food stalls of Thailand. It is a very simple and also a non spicy dish of the Thai cuisine. If you´d like it spicy prepare it with fresh chilis or serve with Nam Pla Prik.

Where can I eat this dish in Thailand?

Moo Tod Gratiem can be found in nearby every street food stall, Thai-shop or restaurant that offers Thaifood. The most served version is with pork but you can also order this dish with chicken (Gai Tod Gratiem) or beef (Nuea Tod Gratiem).

 
 

2 SERVINGS

Ingredients
300 g pork meat
6-8 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 tsp black pepper
2 tbs black soysauce
3 tbs oystersauce
1 tsp palm sugar
3-4 tbs peanut oil

First cut pork into bite-sized pieces and tranfer into a bowl. Mix meat with the remaining ingredients and place in the fridge to let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Now heat peanut pil in a wok or pan and stir fry pork until it is brown and the garlic is lightly crispy. Drain meat by using a sieve and a kitchen towel.

Serve Moo Tod Gratiem with fresh cooked jasmin rice and stir fried veggies (Pad Pak Muam).
