Bean Thread Noodles Salad (Yum Woon Sen)

Yum Woon Sen (ยำวุ้นเส้น) or bean thread noodles salad is a popular dish in Thailand. The combination of ingredients and seasonings make this dish super delicious. Within 10 minutes you have this authentic Thai salad on your platter.

 
 

4 SERVINGS
gluten free lactose free fish

Ingredients
1 bundle rice noodles (Vermicelli)
60 g dried shrimp
1 tbs fish sauce
1 tbs fried garlic
3 tbs Limejuice
½ green onions, thinly sliced
60 g roasted peanuts
1/2 tbs sugar
3 Red Thai chili, chopped
1 bunch parsley, chopped
Fresh cilantro / coriander, for serving

Put Vermicelli noodles in a heat resistant bowl. Pour boiling hot water over the noodles and let soak for 5 minutes. Mix noodles to make sure that all the strands are submerged. Let noodles drain well.

Fry dried shrimp over medium heat until crispy and brown. Set aside.

Mix fish sauce, lime juice and sugar in a small cup.

Mix noodles with fried garlic, pour in dressing and mix well. Add peanuts, fried shrimp, onion, Chinese celery and chili.

Serve with fresh coriander on top.
