Pad Thai (The Best Authentic Thai Recipe)

Pad Thai is a famous street food dish in Thailand and can be found all over the country. In Bangkok many street food stalls offer this snack and nearby all Thais and Tourists love the unique taste of Pad Thai! It is a great snack and can also be a filling meal. Our Pad Thai recipe is the authentic Thai Version directly from Thailand.

 
 

4 SERVINGS
lactose free meat

Ingredients (Sauce)
2 tbs palm sugar
3 tbs water
2 tbs tamarind paste
1 pn shrimp paste
2 tbs fish sauce
Ingredients (Pad Thai)
400 g Pad Thai noodles
1 block firm tofu, diced
200 g chicken, diced
8-10 shrimp
1 carrot, grated
2 eggs
1 spring onions, chopped
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 red Thai chilis, finely chopped
1 shallot, chopped
200 g bean sprouts
Roasted peanuts, for serving
2 lime, for serving
Fresh coriander, for serving

Mix the Sauce

First mix all ingredients for the sauce in a small cup. Soak noodles in hot water for 2-3 minutes before you discard the water trough a sieve. Use another small Cup to beat the eggs.

Now usa a pan or wok and stir fry tofu with some peanut oil. When tofu is turning lightly brown add garlic and chili and stir fry until garlic turns lightly brown.

Fast & easy

Add shrimp and chicken and stir fry for another 3 minutes. Stir in eggs, noodles, carrot, shallot and sauce and mix well. Add some water to let the noodles cook until “al dente”.

Shut down heat and stir in bean sprouts and spring onions. Serve Pad Thai with roasted Peanuts, fresh coriander and lime wedges. On every Thai table you can find Nam Pla Prik. A super delicious fish and chili sauce.
