Luang Prabang: Food, temples and markets (SEA 62)

Last post: Finally I arrived in Luang Prabang (SEA 61)

This morning I went to the big market of Luang Prabang with Aurelie from Marseille. From there we had a long walk though the streets of the historical city to visit the temples. We saw all famous temples like Wat Xieng Tong, That Makmo and the Buddhist Temple at Haw Kham (Royal Palace) complex. We went down to the Mekong and had a nap in the shade. After the nap we did some more sightseeing and you can see and feel that the French have been to Laos once. And you can taste it. Taste it? Yes. In Laos you can find fresh baked baguettes. My first bread since December. Wow. The taste was amazing.

On the evening I met Olga and Lucasz for the third time on my trip. We made an appointment for the next day and I felt happy that I can spent another day with my friends from Poland.
