Burmese Cucumber Salad

2 cucumbers
1 tbs palm sugar
4 tbs fruit vinegar
3-4 red chilis, chopped
4 green onions
2 tbs sesame oil
2 tbs black cumin seeds
2 pn shrimp paste
3 tbs dried garlic chips
1 tsp salt
Fresh mint leaves

This is a fresh and easy to make salad from Myanmar. This salad is made within 15 minutes. You don´t need much ingredients but the fresh taste makes this salad unique!

Peel the cucumbers and cut in ½ cm (2 inches) rings.
Put the cucumbers in a bowl and add the salt.
Remove the kernels from the chilies and chop them.
Mix cucumber and Chilis.
Cut green onions and mix with cucumbers.
For the dressing: Crush the garlic chips and the palm sugar.
Add vinegar, shrimp paste and sesame oil and mix well.
Roast black cumin seeds (For a short time).
Mix dressing and cucumbers and add the cumin seeds on top.
Serve with fresh mint leaves.
